So, I was tired and a little grumpy today because it was much colder than usual, but something happened before my English class that turned my world around.
I had just gotten into school, and I was walking down the hallway so I could go upstairs to my classroom, when a gaggle of my grade 4 boys saw me.
"Ah! Daybeed!" They said, and then they swarmed around me and hugged me! One of my favourite students said to me with sincerity, "You're my friend!"
I could have died right there and then. I positively melted.
I love my job and my kids.
